A Super Read:"Two Authors Team Up to Deliver a Stunning Depression Era Drama"

                       "All Things Hidden"
By Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse

These two authors, got together, and did a superior job of writing a book worthy of great praise! I simply could not put this book down. It was not a subject that I would normally  be attracted to, however, I l loved this storyline!  It kept me curious and entertained throughout, as well as keeping me glued to the page!! Surprises in the plot line were numerous and just the right amount of suspense to keep me wondering about the final outcome.

Gwyn Hillerman, the main character, loves being a nurse at her father's clinic in Alaska. It is an isolated frontier , but she loves it!! Her family life has not been one of happiness or contentment. It has been rough ever since her mother left them, as she hated the "uncivilized" country, taking Gwyn's younger sister with her.

In Chicago, Doctor Jeremiah Vaughn finds his life in shatters and turned upside down. His medical license has been stripped away after a wealthy, affluent patient dies. As a result of his loss of his well respected profession, his fiance breaks off their engagement, supported wholeheartedly by her mother. Jeremiah needs to make a new life for himself , away from those who seem to want to destroy his every happiness. Gwyn's father, Dr. Hillerman, invites him to join his busy and ever growing  practice in the isolated area in Alaska.

Gwyn and Jeremiah meet, and although each is leery of new relationships, recognize a growing attraction for each other. Then, along come rumors of Jeremiah's past to upset the romance.  Will love be enough to let this relationship grow and thrive? Will God show them a way to trust and let His plan continue?   Obstacles abound!! Gwyn and Jeremiah must be strong enough to overcome!!

The plot has many twists and turns that keep the reader engrossed throughout the book. Characters are realistic and well developed . New ones are constantly being introduced into the story add to the complications. Many of them  are quirky,  and definitely appeal to the reader, as they add some humor as well as turmoil to the plot.  Gwyn became a friend to me. I cried with her in her times of trouble and worry  and rejoiced with her in her happiness.

This is a book that would appeal to readers of all ages! The Alaskan countryside is described in accurate  detail. I easily pictured the environment in which these people had settled and grew to love it with them. It was a love story with intense feelings, full of complications and roadblocks.

Definitely, a five star book!!
